Jonathan is an escapologist like no other in the world. His performances create as much laughter as they do gasps of shock and disbelief.
Jonathan does his stunts for real, with no special apparatus, and each escape is designed to entertain regardless of the outcome. If Jonathan succeeds, then it is hugely impressive as a feat of skill; and if he fails, it is always hilarious, cringe-making or bizarre. The truth is, no one knows what is going to happen, not even Jonathan himself.
Jonathan has written and performed his escapes in, “Dirty Tricks”, an acclaimed series for Channel Four Television; and in “The Seven Stupidest Things to Escape From”, for E4. His live performances are equally vivid and exciting.

But please don’t take our word for it; here are some of the things that have been said about Jonathan, and his work:

Andrew
Fraser, (Journalist): "The most surreal, funny,
and-heck-disturbingly sexy thing you will see this year."
(2005)

Richard
and Judy: "Really clever and very very funny."

Magic Week Publication:
Jonathan Goodwin presents the most bizarre and ridiculous escape stunts ever attempted. What's interesting about Jonathan's work is that his laid back almost "matter of fact" type presentation has real impact - viewers really do sit at home squirming on the sofa as he puts himself through hell for our amusement!
